yup, that's right. it's been snowing and blowing on and off for 36 hours or more with the heaviest precip yet to come. temps should stay at or below freezing for most of the weekend up high as well. pics were the proof. i'll try to post a link to them here.

I still haven't figured out how to get alerted to a new post in a thread I haven't posted in.

I'm out of commission due to work until mid-October, but looking for some turns afterwards. Accumulating days off in overtime for this year cuz I used up my final 2008-09 vacation days for that SA trip. 8-[
 
here's a link to that pic from today. it's still snowin and blowin up there. could be good tomorrow. i may go sunday on my rugged touring gear depending on how much they get. i'd get an early headlamp start. walk/ski up the 4800 vert from great glenn to summit, ski around and back down road. it would have to look to be worth it as i have 80 miles planned for the mountain bike on sunday. hit the link and scroll down.

ya, folks are goin for it fo sho. i saw some pics of some real desperados cuttin tracks up on mt jefferson on blades, doesn't count as skiing in my book especially trying to blade on white rocks. nice to know that there are folks more crazy for it than me. it's fall and i have much less interest in getting on snow at this time of year than giving it up in july. big, big mtb rides till the new year at least, unless of course we get winter before then, i'm not holding my breath. gonna be hot here this week.

That would be GPetrics and KC. :mrgreen: I'm sure that Salida would have joined them if he was still in the East. And Tony calls me crazy. :lol:
