Acid Christ is a poser

I love the guy more than anyone, but I just had to call a spade a spade.

Our beloved AC broke out his Volkl Kuro's (164 / 132 / 139mm) on a 2" powder day at Greek Peak.

I'm happy for him that he loves his newfangled super fat rockered skis...but geezus...Greek Peak on a 2" powder day?!?!?!

I still have yet to break out my Verdicts. Waiting for at least 4-5" before they hit the slopes.

Hi Folks!
This is the best that Sharon can do for a post from her oh so small confining florescent lit work cubicle sitting on her duff while I'm out skiing...She really must've been pretty bored, no? :-k

I think he's compensating for other "shortcomings."

I certainly want to keep abreast of the development of this thread. So here's my post.

I can't imagine what should be added to what has been already posted.

I do think it's courageous to call out a dude on the internets who is holding a bomb in his avatar.

AC did the negative camber improve the face shot potential?

Well, Admin's just plain short...can't be helped, and re/um, er, POWDER Queen, I would also add that her cubicle (cell) doesn't even have windows, and then as they say "a bad day of fishing's better than a good day at..." :stir:  \:D/ :-({|=

Harv, don't know about face shot potential, but I WILL say this:
These skis are unbelievably fast, stable, AND nimble?! Incongruous qualities to say the least. It'll be fun watching powder queen and admin's predictably feeble attempts to keep up with me...

Does that include when at least one of them is flying through the air while you're doing cartwheels? (Recall that powder day at Alta exiting Backside a couple of seasons ago.)

I know that I can keep up, because eventually I catch up to the inevitable wreckage

How COULD I forget that day???? To my credit, I tied my dislocated shoulder to my chest and went skiing on the backside the very next day

Some of us prefer "catching" to "fishing". \:D/

the width of the shovel on my ski is the width of the waist of his ski

oh yeah, he's got Marker Duke's on them...bet he doesn't even own a pair of skins for those skis and will unlikely never actually climb a hill or unlock the heel.

Poser!!

PowderQueens just jealous that I was having a blast while she was getting super worked on her new skis...and bitching about things like flex and sidecut.... :stir:

Sorry, but anyone who can't have fun on a pair of Verdicts just doesn't know how to have fun. :snowball fight:

Dude, I had a ton of fun today on my Salomon Guns. The Verdict's just weren't the right ski for me. I skied them everywhere, through crud, powder, chowder, windblown, hardpack, bumps. I actually liked them in the bumps better than the crud. The Guns I like in the crud AND the bumps. It just isn't as fun a ski as the GUN, IMO. You have no idea how much fun I have. At least I'm real and not trying to be something I'm not....poser :-p.

Oh, and remember, Acidchrist is the one who talked me into the Pocket Rocket in the first place. The Guns are my second pair (same ski, different top sheet). He was right the first time...just not now.

Acidchrist just likes to jump on the current band wagon, like a good Greek Peak poser would do. :snowball fight:

Yeah, looks like a blast. I agree, a crud ski is essential for typical GP conditions.

Maybe I missed the joke, but I'd like to hear more about putting Dukes on skis that aren't going to be used outside of a lift-served environment. Damn, between the skis and binders, you're looking at well north of $1000 for that rig.

If powder queen kept her skis IN the fall line instead ACROSS the fall line (and actually SKIED for once), she'd probably start having more fun on her new, higher performance skis.

You're just sour grapes cuz you got showed up by a grrrrrl.

I blew her off a couple of weeks ago at KMart. I'd had my wallet stolen over the weekend and was too busy reconstructing my life on a Monday morning to wander out and make turns. After this thread, I think I made the right decision. :snowball fight:
