Just back from Alta for my 2nd day of the season there. <BR> <BR>Yesterday, I've seen some reports for Shefford, Sutton and Bromont and it was really looking like bitch. So it was sure that today was in the north, even though they got a lot of rain there too. At least, they got about 2-3" of snow after, so I knew this would be skiable at least. <BR> <BR>The mountain didn't lose too much snow with the recent rain. Here is the center trail after 4PM. Still a good coverage for this ski area with 0% snowmaking ! <BR><IMG SRC="http://www.firsttracksonline.com/discus2/messages/8/3177.jpg" ALT="center trail"> <BR> <BR>When I arrived in the morning (while it was dumping hard), it was simply uncrowded and there was still some little powder lines to ski, in many places. ">) more people arrived so there was no waiting, but an enough good crowd for this mountain. (FL) (and I won't have an internet connection next week) <BR> <BR>At the end of the day, the trails were beginning to be seriously tough to ski, the extreme ones in particular, but it remains a nice day, considering the conditions elsewhere and I never waited for a lift <IMG SRC="http://www.firsttracksonline.com/discus2/clipart/happy.gif" ALT=""> Too bad, I found a super nice and long line of bumps on my last run.
