I'd just like to chime in and say, it brings a smile to my face to see the LCC people argue over which resort is the "least" bumped out.

Thanks for today's grin,

the question really is can marc c & admin see good enough from that distance too really make a solid judgement call on mogul density !! probably not cause the three runs i did were non - stop sweetness ! there is somewhat of a delineation between great scott & jaws . ounce a person passes the last point of rock on the left side decending upper great scott - now your out on the apron of great scott there is a natural crest to the slope ahead of one as they decend the hill . too far to the right one enters upper executive usual trees - farther down one would eventually reach rats nest . to far left after passing the last point of rock one would be staring at the left side of great scott apron & actually when one exits jaws the terrain turns left and becomes flat as far as fall line direction decending the hill - it's not far flung too think that a person could make all there turns starting to the right on jaws and not go to far right and make all there turns to the left on great scott there is natural definition to the slope.

Needless to say I'm quite entertained by this thread. I think our readers are well served by a bit more diversity in the views of the LCC locals.

Glad you all enjoyed it. We planned it out at our February production meeting, but we weren't entirely sure it would fly. Send donations to the address on the front page.

Isn't Solitude pretty bumped up by now? I was out over Christmas after a longish drought and found pretty much everything outside of Honeycomb to be pretty bumped up.

Yeah at 3PM...ha...im sure all the soft, COLD snow got massively bumped in 1.5 hours.

Again..keep armchairing from the road...looks can be deceiving.

Well, if you don't make any turns and spend most of the time in the air between the tops of the bumps, I guess most anything can be reported as being smooth!

 :-D

Actually this year it has been a bit more bumpy. I'd say caused by a crappy snow year, and the damn LCC road getting closed every time it storms. Every time the road closes Solitude is inundated by the scrubbing skittle thug bubbles. Even so, I don't ski many bumps, those seen from the hill or the road.

Had anyone told me before tonight that that descriptive term was possible, I'd not have believed them.
