Another foot or more predicted for the Wasatch tonight

Rub it in. The East will have its day. We all just have to work harder to accelerate global warming in our lifetime. That will supposedly raise sea levels, of course filling the Champlain Sea again which in turn will cause the northern Greens to become the LCC of the East. Or at least that’s how I understand it…

So big bad ADMIN.....still just going to sit on the couch this weekend???? There another coming for Saturday....

Can you say LAZY...???

Lets go...put your money where your mouth is...

Listen, ya noob...let's hear how anxious you are to go ski a few measly inches of elephant snot after you've lived here for a few years.

Let me know how it goes, and send home pictures -- that'll be better than actually being there.

Comfy on this couch,
Marc

Be careful about using Bobby D as your yardstick of "normal."

Noone EVER mentioned NORMAL.....hiking to ski by design is a slog fest, but think of the enjoyment of all that suffering...

What would it take to get you out???? 2 ft by Sunday?? 3 ft???

Three feet or more, 15% for the bottom third, 10% for the middle third, and 5% or less for the top third...with no wind affection, bright sunshine and lift service.

Further proof that you're a noob. Yes, it's October, and yes, those totals can happen in October.

I'll get 75 days riding lifts again this winter, and every single one of them will be better than anything that can be skied on this weekend. So, why would I bother? I played in the snow for novelty's sake on Oct. 6, now I'll wait until there's something truly worth skiing.

I'm with you Admin. I skied opening weekend at A-Basin last year and there is no way I'll do that again. And there were at least 2 runs open then, this year there's only one and I absolutely won't do it. I could hike and ski but I don't have any rock skis (the curse of living in a small apartment) and won't risk damaging my babies this early on.

So much for the vaunted FTO signal-to-noise ratio.

Alta's picked up 10" thus far according to KSL and it's supposed to continue through the evening. Next batch arrives Saturday.

Well it looked like it really dumped up in MTN's last night. From the look of the webcams there must at least a foot of new snow. Anyone hear or see otherwise.

I got an email from a friend last night who went up after work yesterday and confirmed the 10" at that time. Since then the lake effect machine really turned on - it was puking here at the house at only 5000 feet when I went to bed at 12:30 and despite temps pushing 40 overnight the roads in my neighborhood were still covered this morning.
