April Fools $1 skiing at Waterville and Sugarbush

I've got a meeting at school for my youngest at 8 AM and plan on taking the rest of the day off and heading to Waterville. The only thing that may stop me is a torrential downpour. Gotta keep an eye on the wx. I don't want to waste a vaca day as I only have few left.
 
Well I got my dollars worth. Hit Sugarbush and it was.....empty. Place was frozen solid...the lifty said "good luck", the wife bailed after 5 runs...but I stayed and reaped the rewards. the rain held out, the temps warmed up, the corn ..got corny. Hit lower Birdland, the Mall and Domino for the bumps. Exhausting!!! The Mall was tough, sticky snow, narrow, lift towers. The rain came about 1:15 so I called it a day.
 
I bailed on my Waterville plans as it looked like the weather was gonna be crappy and I want to make good use of my spring skiing days left. Heading to Lincoln Friday night....haven't decided where to ski yet. Looks like it's gonna be wet Saturday but better on Sunday.
