Yes, I might do that if I lived where EMSC does. I am doing it the last two years at Mt. High to renew my age 70 season pass. Of course in SoCal that's in December not October.Weekdays (except opening day itself) are much less of 'hordes' of skiers and are plausible if you are looking for exercise and to get ski legs going.
As most of you know I have had three 12+ month seasons:
1) The October 2004 start at Snow Summit extended to July lift served at Mammoth. I hiked for August at Mammoth before skiing September at Las Lenas.
2) 2010-11 started in November but was so huge I could get 1,100 vertical of AT Aug. 31/Sept 1 at Mammoth, followed by 700 vert AT Oct, 7 after a 17 inch storm there. That streak extended through the next season to 21 months total and included 12 consecutive months specifically at Mammoth.
3) Liz wanted a 12 month season after the October 2021 opening at Mammoth. We already knew we would be in Scandinavia in Aug/Sep 2022 for a family wedding. We had to go to Timberline for June/July.
