Article on likelihood of being in avalanche

I enjoyed this article. I thought it was interesting that they found that when men were accompanied by a woman, their chances were lower. I suppose that by having a woman along, she may likely be more cautious and will expect a higher level of safety measures. Either the woman is going to question every move for safety, or, the man is going to be more cautious because he is more likely to want to keep their partner safe (the protector).

Or, women are just better at being safe :)
