Confession time. I'm not one of those Haters who sneers at man-made. I'll take snow over none, any day. Attitash (they've officially dropped the /Bear Peak) on a cold Wednesday had limited terrain, but what was open started the morning with perfect deep, firm, very fast corduroy and good edge-to-edge coverage--nary a stone in sight. Rare, Blue sky day--Mt. Washington looked close enough to touch. And the slopes, particularly the steeps (rated double-diamond--for comic relief, I'd guess:wink: ) were empty, thanks, maybe to the single-digit temps. My buddy and I turned every trail that was open into our own private Super-G for the first several runs. Only later did other skiers/rider show. By noon, we were tired--and tired of the same three trails, which were starting to get scraped and chattery at the speeds we like to ski. So we quit. Good thigh burn; Good time had by all. Pray for snow.
