/ The best 1 inch powder day iv'e ever had
The beaver creek website was reporting once inch of new snowfall in addition to the 29 inches of snow they've reiceved in the past week. It was pukeing when i got on the lift at 9:00. On the groomers there were about 2-3 inches of snow, but found up to knee deep in many of my favorite tree lines. I got to finally ride my new burton fish 160, and was in love with it. Only bad point of the day was that the wind neared 70MPH at the top of chair 8, so the upper mountain, grouse and larkspur where all shut for wind. Since the lift line for Centenial was pretty long, we decided to just lap strawberry park: thresher glade was pretty sweet. I would also treverse along skiers left of the lift on the catwalk until I saw a good line in the trees to drop in. Had some decent tree lines in bachelor's gulch as well, Arrowhead was shut for wind also.
All in all an excellent day.

Unfortunately we didn't recieve any additional snowfall accumilation on firday night, but that didn't stop me from having another powder day. The 70mph winds from the day before had wind-packed all of the west facing terrain, but the east facing terrain was still in primo shape. After warming up with a tree run in bachelor gulch, i decided to go see if there was anything left in thresher glade. To my complete surprise, i found it virtually untracked (except for the main gully), and it remained that way 8 runs later. Since the conditions were so good in thresher, and the liftline fore centenial was around 20 min long, i just lapped thresher and the trees off strwberry park untill i had to leave to catch our flight at 3:30 to vegas for the NBA all-star game.
