Sweet day of skiing at Burke last Saturday. Rode the new Quad from the bottom since members of the group had to get their passes. Almost fell on my a$$ walking across the new deck in front of the govenor (who had just gotten done dedicating the lift). Whatever they used for wood on that deck is EXTREMELY slippery when it gets snow on it. Riverc0il, if you read this be careful not to break your arm there
. I watched 4 people eat it while trying to walk in ski boots across this deck. Other than that I would say the lodge is quite nice. The rental shop is much better. The choice of brown striped carpeting is interesting #-o . The upstairs restaruant/bar is very nice too. I kind of felt like I was at a private club since there were lots of attendants for the number of people utilizing the lodge.
Anyway, the skiing was great as usual. Ducked a couple of ropes here and there to get the really good stuff. The natural terrian still needed another 6-10 inches to prevent hitting the ground/rocks as there is not a firm base. East Bowl was first tracks   \
