I believe now that Baker's delayed opening until Tuesday is in the interest of doing control work and stabilizing the snowpack. Base depth range is now 63-78 inches. This situation is not unusual for Mt. Baker openings, just that the timing is earlier than we have seen for awhile.

Too bad the snow level is supposed to rise to 7000 feet on Wednesday before marching back down.
