spent a few days skiing on mt washington this week and thursday hit the motherload. this week has been quite epic to say the least and now there's a chance for up to 18 more inches by monday. here' is a video sampling of mt washington at it's finest and per usual, my touring partner and i had the place all to ourselves. turn up the volume and let her load. this was just a section of the bottom as the run was much longer as it curves out of view as it goes up.

well, i figure since i'm not goin to utah, i may as well ski the deep here. i guess no vt is goin off as well. my girl spent the day in the bolton backcountry today and was pretty much foaming at the mouth over the phone. she'll hit stowe and it's b.c. tomorrow and i'll be back in pinkham notch monday skiing more deep between wildcat and mt washington. today was ski day 64 for me this year and i spent it in the sun covering 17 miles on my b.c. gear. saw one other skier and two slowshoers during my 5 hours out there. 10,000 acre state park, one hour from boston on a sunny saturday. are you kiddin me? life is just too much fun! glad you enjoyed the vid.

Nice video, Ice!

Now if you could post the route you used to make the drive from Boston in only one hour ;-)

thanx! i never said that mt washington was an hour from boston. the tour i did yesterday was 1 hour from boston at bear brook state park. frickin heaving up north right now with 18-24 expected. i leave the seacoast in one hour to head to north conway. with the high winds, i'm bringin my skins as lifts won't likely run. SNOWIN? I'M FRICKIN GOIN!!!

Ah, didn't catch that.

I wish I was going North tomorrow, but it's time to make the donuts. But I'm leaving for CO on Sunday, so take some pictures tomorrow to fuel the stoke!

sittin in north conway after a pummel dumping white knuckler drive from the seacoast. yodel stove is crankin and a stirfry is cookin. tomorrow? work certainly isn't expecting me, so options, options. gonna be windy, but we have skins. sunday river has many peaks that should be on wind hold. pick a peak, any peak and start skinnin for a private pow peak party. lookin forward to it!

Recently I posted some comments on how limited East Coast powder skiing is compared to Western conditions. After watching this video this morning, I sat down to a plate of crow for breakfast. Great snow and great turns!!!

But the real question is:

Why bring goggles if you're not going to wear them?

Good stuff.
