Tomorrow, if this head cold doesn't get any worse.

I guess Mrs Admin brought something back from Quebec for you.

and since when do you let a little head cold keep you from skiing new snow...especially since the snow had gotten to be a week old and was in much need of a freshening?

I had considered staying if the storm was going to be a good one, but the local news was playing it down. I figured Alta would get a few inches, but the forecast had to be at ;east a foot for me to stay another day in suburban hell.

I'm so happy to be home with my loved ones. I had a smooth flight back and Bubba picked me up and took me to the bar where my friends hang out on Fridays for happy hour. We had a few cocktails and then headed home where I was able to ski in the moonlight without a headlamp. Needless to say, the dogs were ecstatic about my return, and were thrilled to go for a moonlight jaunt. I plan to go xc skiing tomorrow. Coverage here is very good and it is going to warm into the 40s. I don't know what everyone was complaining about, the weather here seems just fine. It was sunny and 35 degrees when I landed. People were acting like spring had sprung.

Yup! I gave the ribs a couple of days off to heal, but couldn't resist going up there today. I hit Wildcat Base around 10 AM and the parking lot was nearly half full. It was 32 degrees at the base, and snowing rather steadily. Since there were also some rather low-hanging clouds that impacted visibility in the open areas, I stuck basically to "tree lines." When I started there was at least 8" of fresh in most areas and more in areas favored by the wind. The snow was pretty light and I enjoyed floating in it on my BD Verdicts. I had promised the wife help with some extensive cooking this afternoon, so I left around 1:30. It was still snowing pretty hard when I left. I'm hoping for some additional accumulation by Saturday morning.
