You're right, The Cure is actually my favorite band.

I've made a mix of music (appropriate music) for the kids that isn't kids' music for those long trip (kids music over hours of driving can lead to drinking or worst). There is one Cure song on that mix. Both daughters love Lovecats.

I can thick of a few musically trilogy.

King Crimson (Discipline, Beat, Three of a Perfect Pair)
The Cure (Pornography, Disintegration, Bloodflowers).

However music trilogy would be better located in the following blash from the past link.
