Another quick report: Lower mountain was again in fine shape with
snowmaking whales all over the place on nearly every trail making the
lower mountains 1,600 foot vert drop fun and exciting. Up top Lies was
icy with a few inches of fluff on top that made for an interesting trip
down. I did a little rope ducking and found upper Darby and the
Straightbrook Glades to be in excellent shape. No reason for those trail
closings.

I met someone on the gondi that has been out on Burnt Ridge many times via
the Shaffer Trail and we should've gone back there to explore a little
bit. We thought the snowpack was a little low but I checked into some of
the lower mountain woods and found the snowpack to consist of fluff on
crust so I'm sure it would've been do-able. I've always wanted to try
Burnt Ridge and drop back into lower Twister Glades. Apparently the
patrol is 'ok' with it but they want you to sign out before leaving the
area. Interesting. Sounds like fun.

I tried a few other glade shots around the top and they were pretty fun,
but with the intensive snowmaking all over the place the manmade is
drifting into the woods to create a funky base/surface condition.

Another great day with warm temps.
Temp recap (Top of gondola on first run):
Friday: -22
Sunday: +10
Today: +18

-Scott
