Considering a trip to Gore later this year. Wondering what kind of off-piste do they have/any stashes i.e. angel food at stowe

There are a few off-piste stashes that I know of, and plenty more are out there I'm sure. I've been skiing Gore for many years and its all starting to come together. But I say and would repeat it over and over "There is nothing anywhere close to Angel Food or anything else at Stowe."

There are the upper Chatimac/beyond Chatimac glades area, there's some stuff in the Upper Darby/Open Pit region, Burnt Ridge above the Twister Glades, a short but sweet chute right next to the top section of the Gondola that dumps onto Sunway...

if your going up, feel free to email me for more specific directions...remember the Gore Mountain patrol does not advise "off-piste skiing" and they are notorious for pulling tickets.

-Scott

Thanks. I am planning to go up prob around feb. A friend of mine has a ski writers conference so the mountain is giving us discounted tickets/room. I'll def email you a little later in the year. If you ever ski mt. sunapee in nh i can give you some tips on some pretty sweet stuff there especially for a pretty little mt.

I also know some stuff at gore. I can think of at least 10 off the top of my head and one really sweet one that is really easy to find.I'm in the process of changing email adress but if you want my new one let me know I will ahve it ina few days.

Luke
