Moderate coverage on the GOS trail itself. Took the skis off once on the way down. Started around 10 am and got to the slides by noonish. Took on short lap to ski the ice flow in the second slide, then booted all the way to the top. It softened pretty nicely. Some of the people in the gulf were complaining about the snow conditions (they were on tele's which might have made it a bit harder) but we both seemed to think it was soft enough for skiing (it wasn't corn). Anyways, skied from the top, and descended all the way back to pinkham!

Nice! Very good news... Hopefully, we'll be able to make it there next w-e and there will still be snow to ride all the way (or most) down!

Thanks!

The snow pack on the low lands back to pinkham were not the problem. The south facing traverses on the higher parts of the trail was where the rocks were coming out. Took some creative route finding.

Nice, Porter! We didn't think it would have softened up at all in GOS, so we opted for Cannon.

At Cannon, only the very bottom of the Front 5 softened up. Paulies was unskiable, so I guess that makes it Front 4.

Garys was the best skiing on the mountain, but it was closed to the public for a Franconia Ski Club race; we ducked the ropes twice during their lunch break, while they were resetting the course.

Glad to hear you had good conditions in GOS!
