Conditions were excellent. Crowds were typical for a holiday weekend. Unfortunately the lifts were having problems. 2 lifts had mechanical problems and each were closed for a few hours at a time both saturday and sunday during peak hours, making lift lines exceed 20 minutes. Trails weren't very busy though, because all the terrain was open.

They opened some terrain that hadn't been skied upon since the New Years thaw, with a foot of fresh, with not much base. The fresh snow was wonderful and I got first tracks for 4 runs. It was surprisingly empty on the Chair 5 side of the mountain where there's a small remote parking lot for 'those in the know seasons pass holders'. No ticket booths or lodges over there. They opened some beautiful glades and left some trails ungroomed for us powderhounds to enjoy. Unknowingly, I left that side for the Main area to meet up with someone and realized why it was so quiet and powder-plenty...the lift to get over there from the main area was not running, so only people who drove to chair 5 could ski there. I was stuck on the front side for 3 hours until they got that lift back up. They did run a shuttle, but I'd rather spend my time skiing than riding a bus, so I endured the long lift lines to ski on the fabulous front side. All trails in really nice shape. Everything open.

By sunday afternoon, the powdery runs were all tracked up with dirt showing on the steeper pitches. But it was still nice n soft. Temps near 30 today and yesterday about 20 with sunshine and passing snow showers. Great weekend at Greek Peak skiing with the locals.
