Hunter 3/17-18

My whole body hurts today...short report.

Mountain reported a legit 24"...Hunter was going off big time.

Fairly heavy and dense snow, but it skied so nicely. Everything got buried, and the wind didn't push much around until Saturday afternoon.

Everything was fair game, higher angle lines were best. Saturday was powder all day, Sunday was for leftovers and then sweet soft powder bumps everywhere. It was like a dream.

I've skied 8 days so far this March...6 have been legit powder days and 1 (yesterday) some sloppy seconds.

I can't remember a better March. ULLR has made the poor early season up to us. He is mighty!

I only made it up for Sunday, K27 was the sweetest run of the day with a good amount of left over snow on it, the skiers left started to get eaten up a bit but I hope the trail can pull through well into April. Annapurna was punishing with piles of snow covering icy bumps. Wasn't all that crowded for a Sunday.... I guess people are in spring mode already, or were all too hungover to ski

How many mountains are between Hunter and Jay? Almost all of em in the east. Looks like it was a great weekend for Eastern skiing.

Pretty much...everyone in the east shared in this one.
