Plattekill only has 1,100 feet of vertical, but it's got a real nice pitch. With good snow (and I have my fingers crossed for Saturday), there are plenty of trees to ski.
Admin has a classic video in the archives too.

Gore is 275 miles and I do it in 5hrs or under. I'm betting Gore has better terrain and Plattekill has more snow. Being farther north, Gore may hold its snow better too. Ok enough of that Gore snobbery.
Plattekill looks great. In the video some of the stuff looked too low angle for the 14" (or whatever) they got that day. But 8" which might be more common, could be sweet. Are there glades next to Fuzz Buster and Double D? How are they about under the rope issues? Maybe I need another cabin up there.
