Invest in Jay Peak, get a green card

It's actually quite common. ICE issues visas to foreign investors willing to make a minimum capital investment, and they've done so for years. The hitch is that they have to hire Americans to run the business. Someone with cash can therefore buy a US business to gain entry.

The weird part of this one is Leahy going to Ireland and specifically pitching Jay Peak.
 
Sounds familiar, I think this part of the package was announced when Jay Peak was sold. Sounds perfectly cool to me. Invest a ton in a major business that is growing, creating more jobs, etc. and get a benefit. It could be seen as "buying a green card" I guess, but this country is built upon buying stuff you can't get without money.
