It's snowing in them thar hills

Jay is reporting 6" already and still dumping. They are expecting "as much as" 20 inches by Saturday morning. The Green Mtns should get a good coating, and possibly the Adks.

Where are y'all going skiing?

I'm waiting on Acid Christ to see if he can break away from the fam for a day or 2. See where that leads. Not holding my breath, but keeping fingers crossed.

Holiday weekends are a tough time to get my ski buddies to join me.

Jay for me on Friday (bringing the skins though, hopefully I won't need them... at least not in the morning). Not sure about Saturday, Stowe likely. Sunday who knows... MRG or back to Jay depending on how reports look and how I am feeling.

Looks like Stowe and Jay are the ticket.

Not for me...I've got the Easter Egg Hunt.

As my whole immediate family will be up at the place in Central VT, I'll be hitting Pico tomorrow. I'm extremely relieved they got a good shot of snow - even if I subtract 25% due to "management embellishment" theories, that would still put them at 6" new - and at Pico, I know where to find it 2 days after a storm. :D

While Stowe to Jay will really be rocking this wknd (wind holds today, I presume), I know I'll have fun because all any experienced Eastern skier needs is 6" in order to have a good time - even on a fast base.

And maybe I'll find my darn ski! :x Now that we've had two thaws - and that I've purchased another set - my chances of finding it are greatly enhanced.

I also expect the cross-country skiing down in the Upper Valley to be - ahem - pretty fast. But I'm up for that, too. I just hope the valley still has a modest snowpack (it's gone here in Eastern MA :(

Sadly, AC and the rest of my ski pals have let me down this weekend. I guess there's a holiday or something and people have family things and such, and some are sick and some don't want to spend $. So I am stuck here in CNY, unless something happens in the next few hours. My bags are packed. I just can't go it alone. Too long a drive and gas will cost $100 round trip.

But it seems that there is a good possibility that I can round up some pals for next weekend. It should be less busy at the resorts and it looks like snow may fall throughout the week at Jay.

Will likely head to Jay next week.

I'll just sit here and save my money and read the TRs

Unfortunately as most of us know Jay will certainly be all blown off by this time tomorrow with the conditions this snow is sitting on top of..

Oh well...head to the trees....

Planning to run up to Jay on Saturday. Anyone who was there today, I'll be looking forward to hearing the reports. I'm looking out my condo window at Loon at sideways trees and reading the reports of the upper lifts being closed. Just walked the dogs, and it was nasty.

What would you expect the crowds to be like at Jay tomorrow?

Woof.
