Well, the folks at Jay really put on a nice show for this weekend.
First off, tickets were 25$ for both days... Hmmm. So i brought 4 friends along for a day of corn in the sun.
Then, there was still plenty of snow to kick around in some glades like Hell's Wood, Kitz' wood and a very slim Timbuktu.
Also, there was a BBQ right at the bottom of the Jet with the best burgers i've had in Jay with nice topping and a side of pasta salad... And a few fuzzy drinks hidden here and there!
So, we had a blast... down the Jet, down the UN (even the bottom section where there was more grass then snow... but the snow on first half was great! So grass-riding was fun no matter what! Kitz' wood had 2-3 ft of snow in most places with 2-3 bare spots... Hell'S wood was a bit more tricky... but still fun. I was amazed that the bike trails down in Montgomery were really dry and that there was still some wood skiing to be done 1500ft higher up!
In all, it was one of the best "real" spring-skiing" w-e at Jay in the last couple of seasons... So people gear-up for next weekend cause it will be the last lift-served turns of the season!
