Here?s a short video I put together for all of us on the East Coast drooling for a deep day. All the footage was from February and March last year at Jay Peak (inbounds and out). There?s still hope for this season? See you in the woods!

Yeah that clip was taken on March 16th and is hard evidence of Big Jays ability to catch from wind loading. While deep on other parts of the mountain I?ve seen footage and heard reports that snow was generally around 18 inches deep in most places inbounds?deeper in the usual areas like BP but there was 3+ feet of absolute fluff on Big Jay. The wind direction was perfect but it still amazes me that wind can scour that amount of snow even from such a densely forested area as the windward side of big jay.
