Nothing like a blast of sub-zero Artic air to keeps the slopes of K wide open for a weekend of warp-speed cruising.

It was certainly cold. I will not tell you that I made it out before 10am on either day. You can call my tardiness whatever you would like (soft, uncommitted, etc.). I call it self-presevation. My place is at about altitude 1000 feet, and the warmest temperature I recorded was 2 degrees, and that was on Monday morning.

Anyway, with the bitter air keeping most of the family units off the slopes, there were very few lift lines, even at Bear.

Bear Claw, Wildfire, Dreammaker all held up well thruout both days. Certainly a little scratchy, but nothing too icy. Bottom of Bear Claw was in particularly nice condition...

Superstar was great...fantastic coverage. Outer Limits had bumps on the skier's left but was grommed in the middle...good coverage

Cascade, East Fall, and Rime were also very good.

Conditions are not as good as they were before the freeze/thaw/freeze a few weeks back, but the dose of pow they received on 2/17 probably changed that.
