This is not a skiing report, maybe someone IS there right ???

Still 3 weeks to wait for the openning.

THIS IS FROM THEIR WEBSITE THIS MORNING:

Killington slammed with a foot of new snow and the forecast is calling for more this week! We have 300+ snowguns on Rime, Reason and Great Northern set to fire. Check out the new photos in the Photo Gallery!

Unbelievable, this time altitude won out over latitude as hundreds of miles to the north just plain old rain. Noticed that reports are coming in of 5 inches to 12 inches throughout the Green Mountains . Will wait for the VPR Broadcast tomorrow morning as they call it like it is.

Is Killington no longer pushing for October skiing?

That's too bad.

Oh, man, ChrisC...no offense, but check the archives. It's been done to death.

Can you direct me to a discussion?

I cannot find one discussing Killington's opening dates in the last year or so.

(Don't mind those numeric IP addresses -- we altered the script when we moved the servers, and never changed it back to resolve to firsttracksonline.com as we switched board software. That's us.)

Thanks.

I grew up skiing the East. And Killington in October.

But I have paid less attention since moving west in 98/99.

There wasn't enough snow to get a ride in, but the snow certainly covered everything up, so that there was a total blanket of white in the higher elevations.
If we get this beating from the hurrincane, there might be enough to make a hike for some first turns in OCTOBER!!!
