MY girlfriend and I R planning to drive up to killington and ski saturday sunday, we have a passes and we want to go to long trail. I know killington... I wish I could go further north but I have my dog with me and are staying in a dog friendly hotel saturday night. Been eying weather channel all day and it looks like a mix precip. I do not really trust killington website can anyone tell me if this far south has been getting snow mixed with rain or all snow. Does anybody know where the weather channel takes it readings in killington from, Summit or base?

I have been able to avoid killington all year but I really would like to use the pass one last time. I suppose I could hit up mount snow but that only has more chance of rain. PiCo is closed

as far as K-Mart goes, yesterday I heard a bit of sleet mixed in mid-day, but it was primarily snow...a foot or more (I'm skeptical of the 18" they report, they've been known to lie).

Today, I have seen radar that indicates either snow or rain. If I had to guess, I'd say that above 2K feet, it's probably all snow. Heck, it even sleeted in Burlington VT yesterday for a while, but it was all snow at higher elevations.

You & your g-friend should have a great time. It's Sunshine Daydream wknd there, there's plenty of new, soft snow (maybe a bit heavy, bring your fat boards!!), and as someone who is a Pico regular, I find K-Mart is actually much more enjoyable late season when there's not so many folks there. Go for it! :D

Thanks, for the replies. Will give the results later, and yes early and late skiing can be very enjoyable at Killington
