Went to La Reserve yesterday to ski the remains. No snow untill I get to the mountain. I started hicking up the lower Freefall and after I wen't up by the Sensation. After that, I joined the Canyon. Really in bad shape compare to last year wich was a bad snowfall year. This year, they received much more snow and it only started being hot in late March. Last year, it startes to rain in early March. Anyway after, to reach the summit, I hiked the Panorama. Still a lot of snow but not that much. It took me about 40 minutes to go up. When I got to the top, it started snowing heavily :D and it was really windy. I had to go in a chairlift employe cabin because it was freezing outside with all that wind (and snow) :)

I did 3 runs total. 2 from top to bottom and one only in the L-G canyon. There was only one break of about 3 meters long and it was just after the Panorama to reach the canyon.
Views were really nice and the lakes were still partially frozen.

It's possible that i'll go back sunday

Unfortunally, the Loup-Garou Canyon is really in bad shape this spring due to the bad work done in last october. There is a big creek in the middle of the trail :x

I've got to get to some of these Quebec gems. I feel like I almost know some of these mountains after reading and seeing Frank and Erics reports. Simply awsome!

This year's really sucks :x

The trail was even nicer on June 1st 2003. Almost one month later with no bare spot in the middle

... Just like for us, we kinda know the mountains in New England with the reports with pics done on FTO :)

Hey Eric, you know my opinion about cutting the trees in the Pirouette... you know I'm disgusted of all that... the trail was way more nice with trees.

Yeah, but a bit more dangerous and narrow. Anyway, before this year the trail was half a glade and half of cliffs :)

Now the trail is much easier but it remains the hardest one of the province

I don't think so, honestly...

anyway, was it the toughest one ?

go take a look in the Torngat Range, you'll see :D

anyway, you can't really judge this trail compared to last year, Eric, as you only took it once before this year... and I know that everybody who take this trail for the first time is so much afraid that he doesn't remind of anything after his run !

Of course, I do remember the first time that I did it
Not the same difficulty, not as much skier/snowboarders in it and a lot more fun.

This year it's still fun but not that much as before
