wed: 6 inches of the lightest snow i have ever seen fell overnight into wed....it was so light you could almost see through it... you could blow the 6 inches off the hood of the car with slight wave.... they let it be and it was fun for sure... occasional patches of slick becasue of the base , but overall it was a great day to be riding.... they got the bumps in on lower flume, sunset ( skiers left ) and the little bump filed under the gondy at the end of seven bros....fortunately as of wednesday, they still have not " laid off the 2nd and third shifts yet " and they were blowing fast and furious on west side ( upper and lower rum ) quad line park , angel st and all the ususal inersections of high traffic.... rum bumps should be going in tonight..
the bumps on flume were variable... the fresh made it very good but they got exposed on thurs. the trail set up into 3 sections- about 10 bumps of 5 lines then an area of about 50 feet that was a mess... slightly less pitch led to another section of 25 bumps into another area of about 20 feet long that was a mess.... lower third was the best segment ... about 30 bumps , super tight, very big.. 6 distinct lines.... sunset bumps were junk, to be frank.. they were built wrong .. too far apart and were forced in with not enough snow to make em... pure hardpacked sheen in between mounds of crap....( but it gets better  ) novice bumps under the g spaced a little to far apart for our liking , but they are of little consequence and really only seem to serve to get novicese into them ( which is a good thing
).... contact with the gm had him setting up plans to take down the bumps on sunset and reset em.... lower rum bumps hopefully are going to be built a lot tighter... very cold on wed... topped out a 10 at top... wind at about 10 gusting to 15 or so... minimal crowds... the G was about a 10 car wait between 10 -11 and 1-2 but not bad really... we were on the new hsq obviously, lapping flume...
thurs... pure bluebird... topped out at 7 at the top.. more wind, more crowds, but not bad.... they smashed it all, as they had no choice... fortunately as of thursday they still hadn't laid off the second and third shifts    , as the guns were still going strong....
flume became more exposed as the previous days pow made everyone a bumper... problem is most recreationalers check off speed on the right turn if too much space exists between bumps and slam into the sides creating large walls on frontside of about 80% of the bumps ... the overall spacing on flume was not as tight as we had hoped for, but they are trying... they really don't have a lot of snow too work with... we spent about 2 hours sideslipping trying to fix up a line... got one decent by noon and spent the rest of the day skiing it.... everywhere else groomed out PP with occasional slick in the high merge areas.... superpipe is kickin w/ monster walls... they are close to coming on line with a full park... they started blowin under west side Q t to b to get that park up and running....it actually looks like winter up there.. finally  .... back on mon , tues and wed for what we hope is a super tight mogul line course on rum ( and maybe a fresh dump ????? )
... three long months with no bumps!!!!! lets get it started
