monday- 25f, winds about 20- cold. fresh bumps put in on lowerflume made for a great day. soft on tops man made snow with seeded bumps were skied in just enough over the weekend to make it very good. they started the bumps skied np q and lower flume all day. elsewhere pretty good pp.. thier half pipe is open but not the park
tuesday: about 30 f and still windy . bumps still soft enough on top but troughs were scrapped off by monday's recreational crowds but thats ok and is to be expected. still very good though if you know how to ski em correctly. hooked up with fto'er anthony who is quite a good bump skier
. and too boot is a bump fanatic like us ( they are out there cj and jimg!!!! )
wed: thought we were going to be doomed and considered going to K. checked the weather cahnnel and guess right.. best day of the year.. epic...that may be a stong word for most for a wet packed snow day, but for an east coast bumper, a high speed quad , a strip of about 80 bumps with near perfect left rights and soft snow at evey turn gets an "epic " label..... perfect wet packed snow bumps tops , middle and troughs... don't know what else to say.. skied lower flume all day.. bumps not too big, perfect left rights still intact for the most part. else where soft wet packed all over,,, did not rain at all during the day.... overcast and about 45f. driving out of lincoln at about 9pm it was torrential rains. i would think they got hammered. the base took a real hit from tues night to wed afternoon... brown spots showing up all over,,,, looks like it;s gonna be ugly unless they get snow on the weekend. back on thurs and fri next week to try and avoid what looks like impending carnage.
