Listen up, please.

PBJ is kids' food. The same store that sells a jar of peanut butter also sells adult food that you can make great sandwiches with. If you go with shaved roast beef and swiss on sourdough or similar, mix equal parts bleu cheese, avocado, and ranch dressing for your spread. Food always tastes better atop a mountain.

Every skier needs a small pack which expands via a perimeter-zipper. The one kids' item it should often carry is a can of Pringles if accompanied by that avocado (also necessary in coach on airplanes, to make the rubes to your left and right jealous when the drink cart comes around).

Finally, DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES put your freaking gloves or helmet on the table!!! I don't care if it's a picnic or cafeteria table the rules are the same -- the table is for the food!!!

...I gotta switch to decaf...
