Arrived at 10 am to find 3 inches of fresh pow. Single line was lengthy so i headed up the double. Gazelle had some bare and scratchy spots but Gazelle glades had nice fresh fluff.

Waited in line at the single and took a run down Paradise. Paradise was below expectations with lots of exposed rocks and hard pack snow. Next time up the single i eyed some open space in the trees near the top of chute and to the right (going up the single) This secret stash was sweet with tight turns and fresh tracks.

Made laps on this tree shot to another tight little chute beneath Moody's. Big moguls and short drops were abound. After an inexpensive lunch (MRG food is great!) Headed up Sunnyside and hit slalom hill, (scratchy with some soft) as well as Partridge Woods.

Partridge Woods were nice with big fluffy moguls. Headed up the single again and overheard a group of People who said the were headed for the 20th Hole. I had read about this run in skiing mag.
Curious i followed them (Not telling where). After about 5 minutes of traversing OB we came upon a some tight lines descending. The lines gradually opened up into beautiful open powder fields. Fresh tracks were mixed with soft moguls. It was amazing to see all of the hand cut lines (just like at Stowe. 20th Hole IMO was better than Angel Food or Uranus)Some even had hand-made trail signs. (I glimpsed one called Black Bear) The trai flatened out into a travrse back down to the basebox.
20th Hole was a killer ending to a great day at MRG. I'm eager for my bc and hpfully will be heading up again this year.
MRG SKI IT IF YOU CAN!
You won't be dissapointed.
