Hola friends, hope y'all are doing ok.

This is not for me.

Some friends want to ski early January 2009 anywhere in NE ski in/out or with shuttle, AND the wife wants MALLS. Yep, shopping malls believe it or not!

So, any siggestions?

I've thought of Kton/Rutland, Mt. Snow and lovely towns, Mt. Sta Anne/Quebec.

Help?

Gracias.

Burlington is the closest mall to good skiing less than an hour away from almost any thing along the spine of the Green's from Bush to Stowe and Jay just a little further. North Conway does not have a mall perse but Route 16 is strip mall and outlet central so they can knock themselves out. West Lebanon has plenty of shopping though no malls specifically as I recall. Good skiing can be reached pretty quickly from the West Leb area but not as quickly as Burlington. Manchester, NH and Concord, NH both have malls and quick access up either the I-93 corridor for Waterville, Loon, Cannon, etc. or I-89. And then Portsmouth, NH has a mall with skiing just up Route 16. Burlington is definitely the best bet but worst mall option. But that is what Church Street is for. Good eats downtown Burlington too, lots of options.

That's why I was mentioning North Conway and rolling my eyes.

I don't like the combo mall shopping and skiing in the same thread. Culture and sighting yes, but Mall shopping. There are mall in Quebec City, but all mall look the same. From Quebec City, Burlington, Boston, Santiago or France, it's all the same.

Why bother leaving home if you just want some mall shopping? I would say, leave THESE wifes at home...it might be cold and snowing if they go to New England in January. #-o
