With no snow and the crazy midweek wind, I wasn't expecting much, but the groomers were actually as good as they'll ever get for skiing fast. Firm but totally carvable, and the cold temperatures and low skier density kept it smooth all day. SoCal people have heard the no-snow news, so it was positively empty for a weekend with limited lifts and runs. I skied onto every lift the whole weekend. Everything was great, except Cornice, which was downright scary. After seeing everyone sliding and tumbling down the whole run, I decided to take a "good samaritan" run and pick up skis that had fallen off. In just one run I collected 4 skis to bring to people at the bottom. 1 double ejection and 2 single ski losses.
