It's official! Mammoth will open tomorrow.

Mammoth’s high elevation and our commitment to the pursuit of playing big, will pay off for skiers and riders when we OPEN for the 2008/09 season tomorrow. Mammoth will once again be the first resort to offer skiing and riding in California, a full 10 days prior to our scheduled opening. A combination of natural and manmade snow will greet anxious riders when Broadway Express opens at 9am. We hope to open more lifts as the storm clears.

We are currently reporting a base of 6-12 inches and snowmaking will continue through the night augment the base depth. We have a special early season lift ticket priced at $52 for adults, $39 for teens and $26 for children and seniors.

All services will be open at the Main Lodge including Broadway Marketplace, Main Lodge Rental and Retail.

More information to come.

Snowman will be out on the hill getting Video of all the phone... check us out Monday night for footage of the fun!

Nice to see the management commitment. =D> Especially since the storm has underperformed its prediction so far.

"Under Preformed" is just more desktop chat... get out on the hill!

Guess what folks: The top opens later this week... lol JW ripped p3 today and did not hit a rock!

Today was a locals delight on Gravy, Baby Gravy, Fascination, Far West and many other runs. A Funky Fun Powder Surface brought smiles to everyone who was out for the feast today! Classic Mammoth White Rain Dump... Got to live it to understand it.

I am impressed by snowman's video.

Looks like there is a lot more up high; makes sense with the fluctuating snow levels. 14 inches at the Sesame St plot with all that rain Saturday could easily be 4 feet up top.

I won't make it up this weekend, but it looks worth a November trip.
