No, Midnight Oil skipped Montreal and played Toronto and we were visiting Chicago for the first time and caught Tears for Fears for the 1st time since 1985. I just timed the skiing in order to catch the Oil; initially thinking about NZ in early September, but my calendar was pretty filled up with a trip out to Alberta and a couple Bauhaus shows in Toronto and NYC… that North America was canceled.
Last year’s European trip was timed to catch Fish final tour (I had never seen him except with early Marillion. This year’s trip, Propaganda in Germany.

Very sad, I had no idea that he was ill. I remember when I first saw their videos in the early 80s. Of course, everyone was mesmerised by Garrett's Frankenstein-on-speed dance moves; however, I (a closet drummer) took note of Rob's excellent bashing behind the kit as shown in this clip at age 26:

 
I suppose we can use this thread as a catch-all for Aussie popular culture, not just music.

I'm curious what @Sbooker thinks about the TV series "Fisk," which my wife and I have been bingeing on Netflix. We find it hysterically funny, especially lead actor/showrunner Kitty Flanagan, and are hoping that they'll shoot a fourth season.

While Fisk borrows liberally from the US version of The Office with an ongoing parade of quirky, insufferable characters in the workplace, it has all sorts of interesting Oz touches. What cracks us up over and over is how the majority of scenes start with a gratuitous establishing shot of the Melbourne tram (Route 57?) in various locations throughout the city.

I’ve never heard of it sorry. We don’t have any subscription tellie. In fact aside from the odd bit of free to air sport we watch no TV at all. It’s a lack of time thing.

To be honest part of the reason for not watching TV is the lack of quality content on free to air. And I don't have enough time to justify subscription TV so it's easier for me to spend time watching the first 15 minutes of news on our national broadcaster channel (ABC) and on two internet forums (this being one) and internet news sites. Part of the reason I can handle long haul flying is it's the only time I get to watch some movies.......

When my work and family commitments decrease I am sure I will have plenty of viewing to catch up on. Fisk will be one of the shows I guess.
