I skinned up the Bellow Pipe Trail and skied the Thunderbolt Trail from top to bottom yesterday.
The snow was light and dry, the temperature, it was cold but manageble. Fortunately, we were sheltered from the wind everywhere except the top.
The skin up was at least as fun as the ski down. Mostly it was ok. Didn't hit a lot of stuff underneath, but you had to be careful... Lots weedy stuff sticking up trhough the snow, expecially near the top. There was one section about halfway down that skied excellent - nice powderturns that felt great!
People have been skiing it and after we came down there aren't a lot of freshies left. There isn't enough snow to really venture into the trees either. All in all a fun day and the skis survived with minimal base damage.
