Mountain Summit Signs: Post 'Em!

I do enjoy that Tony tries to quantify scenery via 'spire measurements'.
That's what I figured but thanks for confirming! So the thinking is that the signs are used as part of ChatGPT's statement "3) The hut system replaces the “photo-op landmark”? I disagree with the photo-op landmark part of that argument. Not all summit signs are parked in front of globally recognised landmarks like the Matterhorn.

I was surprised that Flaine did not have one of those signs at the top with that panoramic view of the north face of Mont Blanc.

Here it was before removal a year ago:

I wonder how many people tried to climb the big F or hash and injured themselves?

This one and Verbier have crooked letters; one suspects due to people climbing them? You have to wonder how much money they take to maintain and if at some point the resort decides that it's not worth the cost/hassle and removes them (Flaine?).

I like the placement of tthis one at the bottom of a 60-year-old Poma :eusa-clap:; however, it's the exact same graphic treatment as I Love Nice in Post #1.
