North Carolina ski season opens

If we forget about Sunday River one day opening, that would be 2 seasons in a row that the South opens first, n'est pas?. Or am I wrong?

I don't know if anyone is thinking of opening this weekend, it's been cold enough to make snow up here.
 
Thats what 5000 feet of elevation will do for ya....and a small vertical. I happen to be going to the NC highcountry this weekend, so I'm going to try to hit the slopes if they're still open. The earliest I've skied in NC was Nov. 15 2003, so this is the earliest opening date I can remember. 8)
