November 2009 = pathetic

Everyone should know that skiing is on average better in march/april than november/december.
Yeah, just like everyone should know that lima beans give you gas, but they still keep eating them!

I don't. My median opening day is Dec. 16 and median closing day is May 27. I have more skiing in June/July than November and more skiing in April than November/December combined. May alone is almost as much as December. No question where the quality is usually higher too.

So far December isn't looking that great either ( at least in the Laurentians /Quebec) . Still no snow , spent yesterday clearing back country ski trails in the Western Laurentians off a old logging road . Good to be outside ,but getting restless. Can't wait to try out our new 400' of vertical . I know doesn't sound like much but not so bad to climb up :-) . Snow this week , time to :ski:

The pattern shift to colder and snowier probably won't establish until after the middle of the month. This weeks upcoming storm looks to be a Great Lakes Cutter which means the eastern areas are on the warm side but it should still bring snow to the areas in Quebec and Northern New England/NY.
It will be wet snow so good base building!
