Anyone have any good info on out of bounds areas at Loon, Waterville or Cramore. I got a threedom pass this season due to monetary constraints and I'm hoping to find some challenging terrain. Thanks for the help.

I might have responded sooner, but I'm still cleaning the Margaritta off my screen.

loon - north and south

wv - no

cranmore -

cannon would provide you with some challenging terrain maybe.

(must know the handshake)

Skidder and Mike's way offer some trees at Loon. Out of bounds? Its a goomer MTN IMO.
Bumps show up on Lower Flume and Lower Rum Runner a little later in the season.

Snow was being make on Lower Flume on Sunday.
Angel st and Boss were nice this weekend, but its not anything different than it is marketed as.

Waterville not sure, Cranmore not sure. Did not see much when I have been there.

5 year threedom pass holder.

If you want OB terrian in NH cannon has a ton(pretty much anything from intermidiate lost ski area trails at mittersil to some crazy stuff with cliff drops) and wildcat has a good amount too (tight chutes, river beds, and really tight glades), I dont think anywhere else has much of anything.

okay, i actually decided to make a semi-serious reply to this first post that was just asking for anything but a serious post. sorry, bud. you just don't pop onto an internet forum and ask "where are the goods?"

i have heard loon has some BC. i have never been and i won't say where to look despite the fact that i know. as others pointed out, if you are looking for lift serviced accessable side country, you are looking at the wrong mountains. the threedom pass may be cheap but it doesn't get you much for challenging OB terrain with lots of freshies. go fish.

don't encourage him  and just to not confuse the issue, you won't find cliff drops at mitt. nothing to see here.

baaah

this is the funniest thread i've ever heard...

along the lines of "hey buddy can I sleep with your girl friend"

I'm new here so I did not want to post to much on this. If you go to Loon I'll give you a slight hint. They mark it for ya.

Private info is earned and gained by hanging with the folks. I love Loon and you will have fun there.

I would suggest Loon over the other areas on the pass.

They in the past have had a deal and I think it still is going on where if you stay on MT St. Annes property midweek you ski free. I have done this in the past. You have to make reservation with MT. St anne direct and send a copy of your pass. It becomes a very cheap trip.

Hey Jason, First off welcome. Don't feel too bad about the responses you got, these guys took it pretty easy on you. I've seen this question asked on other forums and they pull out the cane and start beating, so consider yourself lucky. This really is a friendly place and if you stick around awhile you might get to know some people on these boards to start earning some turns with. I was quite suprised when I first encountered this secretive attitude, but after a while I realized it comes down to limited resources. People have invested a lot of time and energy in not only discovering, but even creating and mainting BC stashes on the east coast. So it's not suprising they expect people to earn the knowledge. Anyhoo, start by reading up and getting involved in some group outings. It's a lot better to be with more experienced people anyway for your own safety. Cheers. :D

Jason... like some of the others have said, didn't mean to scare you away...

If you ever decide to come up to cannon (its cheap with a college ID), drop me an e-mail porter.haney@gmail.com

PS I like to go by the mantra, I'll show you where the goods are, I just wont tell you

Gracias, don't know if I'll make it up to Cannon this year, but thanks for the offer. Since I have the threedom pass I don't think I'll be hitting many other slopes except for a few planned trips to JAY.
