Today was my 11th day skiing in a row on my trip and the second day in a row that wind affected lift operation, Panorama could only run their bottom level of lifts.
They ran the middle level a couple of times but never let anyone on it. The Mile 1 Express was not running very fast so line loading it moved slowly after turnstile even though as a single I did not have much of a line. Next photo was taken when I returned to it during lunch lull.
Messages include: "HIGH WINDS! Please Pull Your Bar Down. Lift will be running @half-speed." I moved to low-speed, but more efficient with more vertical Sunbird for the morning. Snow was good but a lot of debris had blown out of trees onto runs. This is top of Sunbird.
More debris when going to Sunbird. That is Mile 1 at left.
I liked Heaven Can Wait enough that I repeated it. The entrance looked a little sketchy which kept the traffic down. But it was scraped off when I return later in day.
I think this was more Heaven Can Wait
More debris on run to far looker left from Mile 1 - either Loose Moose or Powder Trail
Sunbird had one long and a couple of short stops on this ride. It's possible that tree down on run was misreported as being on lift. Trees were really moving.
I quit at 2:30 with 22.3K vertical then had ~2 1/2 hr drive to join @Tony Crocker in Fernie. I'm sharing my highest ever Garmin sleep score that required alarm to wake me.
Unedited version of photos replaced with cropped/re-sized versions the next morning and I'm too tired to try to replace.
