Pictures from Around Burlington This Afternoon...

Pictures from 1pm up at the University of Vermont and then walking down the hill to my residence in downtown Burlington...winds were gusting, wind chills were very low, heavy snow was falling at likely 1.5-2"/hr and best ground estimate is 10-12" at 1pm. I lightened some of these up to give the snow texture in the photo, but others I left as is. It really has been that dark all day today with heavy snowfall.

Thanks for the pics Powderfreak! I'll have to lift vicariously through them. Missing the good ol' nor'easters. In the synoptic meteorology class I'm TAing out here in UT, we spent the whole class taking a good look at the storm. After the class we plotted up stuff and took cross-sections through the heavy snow band that went through central NY around 18z. Pretty impressive storm.

Now let's see some skiing pics! The profs can't expect uvm students to show up tomorrow...
