Pipeline - 4/18/04

Hiked about four miles up the Jewell Trail to ski Pipeline, only to find the ice bulge impassable. I threw the skis on and slid down a couple more short stretches lower down, but I wouldn't recommend it. <BR> <BR>The word back down at the trailhead was that Airplane was skiable to Spaulding lake, as was Cinch. Descending via the Cog tracks, some of the snowbanks were skiable at higher elevations. Thanks for the report Lftgly ! <BR> <BR>Wow, it's still early to ski it I guess (last year, if I don't mistake you tried it first in early may. <BR> <BR>Tucks soon for me (I HOPE.)
