WOW, whatta nice dump we got!

It warranted 3 visits to Greek Peak in a 24 hours period. Greek Peak got 10" as of Weds morning and another 6" on top of that in the last 24 hours. Its been snowing for the last 48 hours, though the last 24 were mostly scattered snow showers/flurries.

Tuesday night, we ushered in the storm. It piled up while we skied. Got better and better each run.

Wednesday morning...a powder morning. Unfortunately Greek Peak likes to groom too much, but those of us 'in the know' and not afraid to poach got the goods before they opened the ungroomed trails to the public. I got 2 runs on untouched fresh on Olympian and Zeus...2 of the steepest trails at Greek Peak. Awesome fun.

Wenesday night...went back for night skiing (after putting in a few hours at work between ski sessions...I did change out of my ski pants, but if it wasn't so warm in my office, I would have kept them on).

Conditions were still excellent. Big puffy powdery bumps, some fresh still to be had along the treelines, a quick dip into the woods for some fresh in the shadows, and a poach of a closed bump run that had untouched thigh-deep powder. Did a bunch of runs on that. Before I knew it, it was 9pm and we couldn't get on the lift for another. Time just flew by. In between powder runs I did my 2 runs through the gates for the seed race for our beer league. The league sponsors apres ski pizza, so we had some social time in the pub to talk about all this snow we have. Fun night.
