SLC this weekend

So, I'm heading out thursday with my father to SLC. I have a few questions:
1. Does PC still do that thing where if you sign up on the chamber of commerce you get a free lift ticket the day you arrive?

2. We aren't renting a a 4 wheel drive car, but staying at the holiday inn express in sandy... if we want to go to alta (i see snow in the forecast) what's the best bus to take up to the mountain? How hard is it to get the bus? Is it a real PITA?

3. We're thinking of doing one of the days at Solitude. Does BCC impose driving restrictions as well?

I'm looking forward to skiing for the first time in 3 years, but man, I'm gonna be out of shape!

But not on Saturday or Sunday arrivals.

1. Yes.

BCC doesn't close for control work as frequently as LCC and there are times when LCC has chain/4x4 restrictions and BCC doesn't. Both canyons have the blanket requirement of snow tires and chains available (unless it's 4x4) between 15 Nov and 15 May.

Turned out to be no big deal, out full size that we rented is a Subaru...go figure
