Day 6: Hard snow

Yep, I was home before noon. I took a whopping four runs. Marc_C took 3. When it starts to feel like southern Vermont, it's time to go home. (We need an emoticon for "spoiled".)

Groomers were slippery. Ungroomed was stiff. How stiff? Check out The Kid's landing off this ledge on Gad II - this video's a classic you've got to see:

The web site said that the new Peruvian Express chair was opening today, but the lack of a prepared loading ramp didn't bode well. Ski patrol was also apparently unaware of that opening plan. Maybe they'd get it running by the end of the day, but I wasn't sticking around to find out.

I've got my fingers crossed for that Monday night storm. Right now it's shaping up to be huge! I just wish that it had arrived in time for the long weekend.

(I'll add the Suunto log later -- gotta run for now!)

I'm surprise he didn't say Tabarnack. He's been away from Quebec to long.

Are you sure it is a good idea having this video online, what do you think his mom will say? You two might be in deep trouble. Him for jumping and you for letting him jump.

Good luck to both of you.

Heh! I just showed it to her. You're assuming that I have any influence whatsoever. For the record, I spend a good 15 minutes telling him how stupid it was. I think that actually made it cooler to do.

That doesn't matter, you should know this by now. How long have you been married? You're to blame for something, ever if you told him not to do it. It's not like a newlywed.

No, no, no...you have that wrong. I'm to blame for everything.

Inter-species relationships are always tricky. Any perceived neglect of her "cub" will be punished!

Although anyone who's observed our family unit could easily make the mistake above, would that not be intraspecies? I sure hope so!

No, I spelled it correctly. Whenever my wife gets together with her knitting group, they engage in serious male bashing. We are alway referred to as a "different species."

I think I herniated a disk just watching that video. Takes me back though...

Might be one of the funniest cliff drops I've ever seen.
