13 March 2026, It was another sunny day with only light winds at Snowbird. Crowds were up a bit because Friday is the new Saturday, but only got stuck in one longish singles line about 11 am in Mineral Basin.
I rode the tram three times today, two of the times were quick waits because everyone was back in Mineral
Heading out to the Bookends, snowpack is the best it's been all year, but we're in a freeze-thaw cycle, so you have to follow the sun to get the friendliest surfaces:
Left Mineral after it got quite busy. After one week son of a friend from VA knows Snowbird better than me, here leading me into Rats Nest and upper Great Scott. His skiing progressed a great deal in five days in UT...oh to be young again
Dropping in to Great Scott:
On the Road to Provo cat track with mighty Pipeline Chute (hike-to only and rarely open) in upper right.
