They only had the Shirley <BR>Lake quad running (about 600 feet of vert) but you could traverse/hike up a <BR>little from there and ski some of the north facing chutes off Granite Chief <BR>on steeper terrain. The one trail under the lift had enough traffic on it <BR>that it felt like skiing Killington in November. The Californians didn't <BR>like it but I felt right at home dodging all the people. I hiked up and <BR>skied Funnel a couple of times and traversed/hiked over to the Nose once (a <BR>real mistake, very poor cover). It was an SPF 30 day at 9000 feet with <BR>temps around 60. After skiing, we hiked back down to High Camp and went <BR>swimming in the pool. Downloaded on the tram and drove over to Northstar <BR>and played 18 holes of golf.
